Jean Fidel DeHersant a Gentleman and supporter of the Burbon Restoration, produced “Propaganda” Booklets (Collection: Nante 1830- Drownings) For his services to the restoration he was Awarded Order of the July Cross (legion of honour) 1830.
Of Huguenots decent, Jean Fidel and family fled France and can be seen entering the Uk at Dover in 5/8/1836 & 11/7/1843. Marrying Frances Ann Thomlin at Nottinghill, London, 15/3/1853. (Second Wife) Having 3 children Mary 1955, Katherine 1857 and Henry 1859. Henry’s Son Ivan serves with the R.A.M.C in WWI, Invalid out in 1917.
Jean Fidel of 10 Belgrave Sq, Nottingham dies in Early September 1892.
